Immersed in continual movement, Lisa believes to portray life in art is to capture the movement and emotions surrounding reality. Using a myriad of impressionistic techniques her art resonates with the rhythms of nature and the emotions of life. Lisa feels life is best shown through the play of light and shadow in nature's simple forms, such as a singular tree in a field or the rise of a ancient drumlin.
Growing up in a family of four girls in The Finger Lakes Region, Lisa has always found ways to express her creativity. With limited structured training, her work has developed into a defined style with a practiced eye for composition and color. Shady Studio is happily open by appointment only.
